Pros and cons of using a laptop as a home comp?

We already have a home computer, but Im looking to get my own, and since my room is slightly small, I dont have room for a real home setup. But I DO have room for a laptop. I will keep it on my desk, and probably only use it for a couple of hours a day. Im just wondering what the pros and cons of using a laptop as my home computer are. Like, is it bad if I leave it plugged in for more then a few hours at a time? And if anyone else uses a laptop as there home comp, and has any advice, I would really aprecciate it! Thanks :b

If the hardware is the same, either works. get a mouse and keyboard if you would like for the laptop and speakers to amp up sound and you have a desktpn replacement, cooling could be an issue though.
